In an open letter to customers, Codemasters revealed that encrypted passwords, Xbox Live Gamertags, email addresses, usernames and other similar data was procured by the hackers.

This is bigger than it looks, even though they say that credit card/payment details are safe.

First Sony now this - The only way to be safe is by not sharing your data. :wall:

Yup. The problem is, even when you don't share it, they still get it (cookies, etc.). :f

The issue here, is people really don't have a choice but to have a username and password, and email address at most sites, including this one. That's not sharing, it's just common sense that one register up for one.

The problem, is then the hackers get that. Big vicious circle.
