cli tricks

back when i was using dos and windows 3.1 thru 98 i used to use terminal to write customized batch files.
they could be run through dos and through windows and you could set an icon to it
they would run multiple programs in sequence making task's automated and easier.
in windows you could use macro recorder to record sequences in windows
i know it can be done in linux too (just a little different) :P
