Valve has unleashed the Steam OS for the big screens and it is based on Linux. The steam engine has been available for Linux for some time - I can confirm that it works perfectly in Manjaro. Joining the Linux Foundation is one of many ways Valve is investing in the advancement of Linux gaming," Mike Sartain, one of Valve's Linux team members, said in a statement. "Through these efforts, we hope to contribute tools for developers building new experiences on Linux, compel hardware manufacturers to prioritize support for Linux, and ultimately deliver an elegant and open platform for Linux users.
This means that Valve will be going for Linux all the way and contribute back to the community. This is promising for Graphic card drivers.
