Re: What does your desktop look like?
Ah, guess I didn't hide it well enough at all! Okay then. What kind of cursor is it?

Hahahahahaha
Keep trying, boss. That wasn't much of an effort.

Re: What does your desktop look like?
KDE 4.6.2-1 desktop in Fedora.
Gentlemen, PLEASE take note. THIS is how your lady likes to receive her flowers, not in some bunchy commercial thing that's going to die in 3 days anyway. Get it through your thick male skulls: WOMEN LOVE NATURE, and want it to LIVE. QUIT KILLING IT.
Pity that there is not color selection in KDE for the icons. I'd really rather have yellow or a sort of sagey-green if it were there.
Also, for the life of me, I can't figure how to get the "Computer" and "Home" icons onto the desktop. Another thing that would be nice, is a transparent taskbar like they have in Gnome. The other thing being (and this is a REAL pet peeve), that terminal and file manager, among other things default to the ~/Documents folder, and not just /home/youruser. I thought I saw a setting to change that somewhere, and used it IIRC to switch to just my /home folder, but it didn't work. I can't recall where it is now. As well, it would be REAL damn nice, if I tell it to single-click to open files and folders, it would do it with a, y'know, SINGLE CLICK.
Other than that, it runs fairly smoothly here. Arch could take a lesson or two, but then I'd REALLY not be able to figure out how to get into it (KDE still freezes on me totally, soon as it's fully loaded in Arch; it's unusable).

Oh, and yes, I would tell you where the pic is, but I don't wanna. All I'm gonna say is it's "somewhere" in the UK.
(And you think KDE is more customisable - I have to laugh like all get-out at that one.)

Re: What does your desktop look like?
Uh I will be needing the woman translator regarding that flower thing. In my experience it should be expensive and killed. Once I bought a pot plant and it never was the same as red roses.
Some pics of a perfectly stable Arch with both Gnome and KDE running coming up... No lessons to be learned there IMHO.
Bad Video but you get the picture.

Re: What does your desktop look like?
Where is the cursor? You didn't bother to hide it
Hide it first, then I'll answer.
