Sorry, correction. It's Cumbernauld, not Arrochar. I got it mixed up with pics the same person had taken of their mum 'n dad's place, which gets these purple/pink flowers growing literally all 'round their house, as high as the house, even!

Yeah, with the Audacious, maybe, but it's not "the" sound-berzerk desktop I want. :(

I am using Cairo-Dock and Tint2 taskbar + guake dropdown terminal here (I always use quake) - oh yes and a transparent urxvt terminal with htop running (integrated in the wallpaper on all desktops).
I can truly say that I have not missed Gnome for a day.

Both are very nice. Where do you find the time? It must be nice to be independently wealthy. Image

Eh well changing the background goes fast. Setting up Openbox takes some research but - learning is a good thing +1

Knowledge is power! :berserkf

But I will go skydiving soon and I promise: I will not post during free fall :-D

Now a fav one for this kid, thanks to you here (sorry I didn't see it sooner)! Purple, shrooms, I love it. Purple being my favorite color, and shrooms being my favorite... vegetable? Fungi? ???

Image Image Image

The icon theme is courtesy MIB here (the Magenta theme), the Window decorations are Corindon Purple, from "Get new themes", and the cursor is an animated one (you should try it; it's really cool!), Protozoa Grey here. For some reason, neither screenshot program would show the cursor, even with "Include mouse pointer" turned on.

KDE4, is finally a win, on this server machine. Think I'll do it again on my netbook.

That is one lovely wallpaper and your desktop looks great. KDE has the flexibility that the gnome guys have decided to take away these days so I like it better. I do not even have Gnome installed anymore - I have other hobbies than starting from scratch on every single update :wall:

I might give those decorations a shot...

But I am using pure OpenBox these days. I like the menu at my hand on every right-click anywhere on the desktop. And Cairo dock takes care of everything I need to fire often

Very nice. :)

I did indeed do the shrooms up on the netbook, and you can even see the cursor in the screenshot. The server has a very old graphics card - that could be why it didn't take on it.

For the netbook, I had to resize the wallpaper.
