ACTA thrown out at the EU parliament

Postby viking60 » 04 Jul 2012, 17:54

ImageACTA the Anti Counterfeit Trading Agreement has been virtually thrown out of the EU parliament.

Even if 22 of 27 countries had ratified it, ACTA will never happen because the EU centrally just killed it.
Incredibly this Act was forced by the Bureaucrats without any treatment in the European Parliament in a dirty attempt to avoid democratic control.
This way of handling it has now been labeled, loud an clear, by the EU parliament.

ACTA was just another SOPA and yet another example of the creativity of those who want to control the net behind our backs.

Today life is good :s :dance1 Tomorrow I bet there will be another creative approach to obtain the same under another name....

The undemocratic forces in the world will continue to implement ACTA though:
However, other countries such as the US and Japan are expected to continue with implementing it.

Yeah, 'merika has a strong record of being stupid, arrogant, paranoid, controlling, domineering, bigots. We can't expect that to change in such a short time. Almost 300 years isn't enough.

In this case that sounds very true. I have heard that the US were the ones that insisted on secrecy - as opposed to democracy. Thanks to Wikileaks the whole thing was blown wide open.
I think they should get a Pulizer.

That one is out, what about CISPA?

The war is not over yet. :berserkf

Yes we can be called ignorant, bigot and all sort of things; what you have to keep in mind the Mainstream Media is programing everyone in thinking that way. The more we bicker among each other the other side (Gov) does what they want without you noticing since you are busy on the other bullshit.

Stop watching TV, stop drinking the cool id and the powder sugar coated cookies. :T
