I certainly think it could look better, so hopefully someone will improve it or eventually contribute some new theme, but at least the functionality is now present by default if nothing else.. :)

:dancer Great thanks!
Regarding package for the bashscript inxi, Here we go:

:dance1 Great stuff! I will download and reinstall the enitire enchilada now. I think it is important that inxi comes "with" Bernie without having to install it.
So in my simple mind doing a:

Code: Select all

cd /usr/bin && wget -Nc smxi.org/inxi && chmod +x inxi

and distribute it like that would be sufficient. inxi does update itself with inxi -U anyway. But there might be superduper rpm reasons for not doing it like that....(uninstalling comes to mind).

In what repo did you put inxi?

ftp://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pu ... noarch.rpm

It takes a while for submissions to get mirrored and distrib-coffee is one of the primary mirrors, gets changes first, iianm.

First to post! :berserkf

I see that you have the 64bit version I have i686 here, maybe that is the reason. I will find it in contrib eventually. Now lemme see if I remember how to check where my repos are...

Code: Select all

urpmq --list-url

It's a noarch rpm

ftp://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pu ... noarch.rpm

The same package is under both architectures.

OK I got inxi :B But I have not seen anything of the kdm login with the DE selection yet?
And I cannot find anything in the 64bit version that makes flash work, so I downloaded the rpm from the adobe site - and now it works :-D

Here is a strange thing; when I press logout on the Rosa panel it takes 16 seconds for anything to happen. In the standard KDE menu it takes 6.
In Gnome3 it happens immediatly.

Were you at least able to find the place in MCC where you can choose which DM you want to use? It gives choice of kdm, gdm, or xdm, IIRC.

Code: Select all

su -
enter root password
DrakeDM

http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Tools

It's a possibility, I suppose, that they dropped it, but as much as MCC has been their largest function point, I'm kind of doubting it (but then, anything could've happened since 2010).

If it's KDM you want to use and edit, you might see if this file is in the repos. To configure GDM, the file would be (IIRC) /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf (or somewhere around there).

Also, see here - there was an issue for 2011, but I'm not sure if it still exists in 2012.

No issues! It works perfectly fine in MCC.
