Russia to ban VPN proxies.

Postby viking60 » 23 Apr 2017, 18:26

Russia plans to ban VPN becase it opens access to sites that they want to block
Russia wants to control the content of the internet in the name of digital rights.

This is always a poor excuse for controlling the Internet - digital rights are not the reason - and it is used all over the world to hide the real reason.
To counter this defiance, the Russian government has been considering legislation to tackle sites, tools and services that provide Internet users with ways to circumvent blockades. According to local news outlet Vedomosti, that has now resulted in a tough new bill.

How long will it take for the NSA to follow?

How long will it take for the NSA to follow?

None, because the FBI, NSA, CIA, Cyber Command, etc are already there.

Will not be surprised that is a measure against an attack from outside Russia.

This is not the right way to bann the vpn as vpn is also used for online privacy and it's very important for internet users to stay themselves safe from hackers and cyber crimes. I have also heard the news that some VPN will work in the future as well. among all, there is a surfshark vpn who will work in Russia as well. I have read surfshark review and some movers to Russia gave positive reviews of surfshark vpn

Well, first off all I don't think so there is any such news or anything like that. Because I still remember when my friend in russia asked me to recommend a VPN and I suggested him to Buy VPN from Ivacy, since it is the fastest, safest and highly encrypted VPN on this planet. LOL.

Here's one for you. Sorry I didn't get back on this. From what I read, so far, Russia has blocked nine VPNs. Probably more by now. This was in June:

Quite a few as well have been pulling their servers out.

Here is an explainer from the beeb on it.

This all started in 2017.
I'd rather be a free person who fears terrorists, than be a "safe" person who fears the government.

Russia Bans so many VPN services. I would suggest you to use Surfshark as it works absolutely fine in Russia. For any query you will clear yourself by following this best VPN service guide: surfsharkvpnreview.
