He was only 48, started out with the Stone Temple Pilots and also played with Velvet Revolver. He was one of my absolute favs in the business. Great songs like "Wicked Garden," "Interstate Love Song" just to name a couple.
He evidently died of a heart attack in his sleep.
I hear tell this is what happens with drug abusers (which he was one), that they die much earlier than those that aren't, in particular abusers of meth and heroin.
Of which I'd like to know, why are rock 'n rollers so prone to use drugs, and die from them?
