Also, Arven (I have the album).

My friends Ian Page on vocals and Neil Prentice on guitar in Scotland. @jkerr, I don't know if you're into the unsigned scene over there?

A protest song for the Indigenous Australia:

The time has come
To say fair's fair
To pay the rent
To pay our share

The time has come
A fact's a fact
It belongs to them
Let's give it back

How can we dance
When our earth is turning
How do we sleep
While our beds are burning

"Beds Are Burning" is a protest song about giving native Australian lands back to the Pintupi, who were among the very last people to come in from the desert. These 'last contact' people began moving from the Gibson Desert to settlements and missions in the 1930s.

I don't know if anyone remembers Ultravox, but...

Bedlam Solo, which I've just bought to support m'friend Louis Barrabas of Louis Barrabas & the Bedlam Six - this is a solo album for him.

Also, really good psych rock is not dead, in fact it's far from it. Some My Sleeping Karma for today.

Some of my childhood heros from the early 70ies there - famous for their stylists and elegant dressing (he does wear a hat). :-D
Slade and T-Rex were Giants back then.

I see that the old geezers are still at it (They have just been discovered in Moscow) - and still wearing hats :-D But they have lost the punch they had in the 70ies.
Pathetich version of my old favorite here:

This is what it sounded like in the 70ies:

The sound quality was poor back then: Pink Floyd were the only ones that nailed that bit - with perfection! +1
But they sure had nice hats and fancy haircuts

Not everything can withstand the test of time - here is the exception from 1973:
:A

Listen to that stereo - how the sound bounces back and forth between the speakers. And it is also obvious that Pink Floyd used Archlinux +1
That is why we have the "Arch side of the moon" wallpaper.

Haha! Thanks for the memories! I remember much the same from bands. It's interesting sometimes to compare then and now. :)
Slade was a fav from the get-go; have always loved them but not checked out recent gigs they have/had, so it was nice to see and hear that! Nice hats indeed!

Pink Floyd, legendary of course, and you're right. They had it spot on then!

There was a Pink Floyd video of "Time" at one time on youtube that I loved, the one with the clocks going everywhere, seemed like. I can't find it now unfortunately. :(
I can only find a digitized remake of it that says nothing for the original.
It was one of my all-time fav videos.
Once I get this thing going I may use that Pink Floyd wallpaper if you don't mind.

Edit: This is it except it was full screen, not put in a bubble like that. I guess I need to look up the film. It was also with the studio version, the one I used to watch.

Playing tonight backing Three Days From Retirement in Edinburgh:

Three Days From Retirement:

I actually have this EP - these guys are good. Just because it's unsigned, doesn't mean it's crap. Sometimes I find better in unsigned music.

Three Days From Retirement btw has an EP launch tonight in Edinburgh.
