That is a much debated topic where many do agree with you.
Personally I have never had any problems using sudo, and I find it convenient.

My question about all of this is :

1) Is this massive "collaborative" data collection just for the preview...for those who are using the beta, or for Windows 10 the final product as well ? After all previews are almost entirely for Microsoft not the end user. They want input

2) Will there be opt out "sharing experience" settings as here have been in the past for Office and Windows Vista/7/8 ?

This is a very large concern especially for the number #1 desktop operating system that (most likely) the majority will be moving on to. I am leaning and hoping on that this is not permanent for the end using public

These terms are only for the testers and will not apply for the finished Windows.

It could be argued that programs like Prism see to that your data are collected anyway - but you will not be informed about it.

It is uncertain what happens if you convert your testversion into a regular Windows 10 for daily use (you will have to since downgrading is not an option).

To be fair: The terms that I have referred to here are for testing only.

Okay, that's a relief. Corporate policy hasn't dropped down to that level...yet (though it would probably hurt Microsoft with their business customers with something so out-right blatant )

After all, Microsoft and Apple love claiming "you are our consumers, not the product" jargon nowadays..pointing the finger to big G.

Yes that pointing is rather tasteless.
Microsoft has criticized Google for scanning emails for years - and then it turns out that they have been doing it too - for years.

According to Microsoft they are doing it for the right reason....so that makes it different.
