Revisiting Audacious

After probably 3 years, I decided to revisit Audacious. At the time it first came out, it was seeming as if to be a replacement for XMMS. Well, last night I had chance to revisit it as XMMS wouldn't work (not sure what's up with it), and Audacious appears to have grown quite a bit; in fact, in some ways became more a replacement for Amarok1.4.10, which, as you know, is a plus big time for this kid. It's not resource-intensive, and has wonderful sound. Have a look at what all they have going for this baby:

In Preferences, plenty of choices, and LOOK AT THOSE PLUGINS! This is in Fedora:

I think I'll be using this quite a bit more now. :) The only issue I'm having is getting the scrobbling plugin to work. Will be working on that as time goes on.

And actually, I did get the scrobbling plugin to work. When you input your last.fm user name and password, it asks for your url. Don't put it in. Leave that field blank.

If you look under "Recently listened tracks", it says "Scrobbling now from Audacious".

How is it compared to Clementine?

Much better, and much lighter. The new version of Clementine is very resource-intensive for some reason (0.7.1). I like it, and use it quite a bit anyway, but I use it when I don't have a lot running already. It doesn't seem to have the sound quality to me that Audacious does, either.
