I have made me a certificate and signed it myself.
Then I implemented this certificate on viking60.no-ip.org so that it now is :

Here you will get a warning about me not being an official authority on certificates so it could be bad etc.
Well it isn't so simply accept it
You do that by adding exception or something similar.
The internet traffic will then be encrypted there - I found that fitting since I now also have a cloud on than box (already heavily encrypted).

The internet traffic is supposed to be more secure there now.
The backup site is now https!

Re: The backup site is now https!
Have you considered using Let's Encrypt to obtain a free trusted certificate? That will remove the need for adding an exception and will get you one of those green padlocks in the address bar. See https://helloworld.letsencrypt.org/ for an example.
Re: The backup site is now https!
That is interesting ....and I have not considered it...and now I surly will! Thanks!
