This board opens external links in a new tab. But you jump to the new tab with it and must jump back to the forum tab when you are finished.
To just open the new tab - and stay with the forum - you can click the middle mouse button (push down the mouse wheel) or <CTRL> Left Click.
Of course it works for internal links too.
