Yeah, once, a good while back, someone, a forum member here, now that i think about it (can't remember what his user name is here), was saying that a lot of times the DNS cache gets stuffed up, and can actually affect speed and also how things like flash run. True? He said in that case one should power cycle their modem. I tried this a few times. It would have an initial surge of speed, but then very quickly be slow again here.
Just thought of that one this morning.

Interesting, something I've been testing lately. If I tab down to submit, and hit the enter key on a post rather than click submit with the mouse, it goes much faster, and submits just fine.

Ok that is a tip I didn't know about.
But I has been really fast here lately (last two days). So I have no speed problems. The spam control against different sites could slow things down but I have not noticed here.

Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.
