The meme thread
I'd rather be a free person who fears terrorists, than be a "safe" person who fears the government.
No gods, no masters.

That is security for sure.
Now this one is getting stoned:
Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

Re: The meme thread
I do not get it....
They are not memes. Who came out with that?
A meme is a constant reminder or a way to persuade someone or somebody by constantly drilling and idea by frequency.
For example, slipping Climate Change / Global Warming fault when talking about any topic (relevant or not). Or each time a firearm goes off, remind everybody the banning. Or just some habit that you come up with to change someones mind. Those are memes
That stuff looks like a social media poster. While some are funny, they are not even close to be a meme by definition.

Re: The meme thread
A meme is a theme, some that is repetitive in order to change an attitude and/or a thought. A form of a passive manipulation. The media uses it all the time. For example, to ensure support, each corner that you look there is a reminder, a poster, a jingle, certain words, catch phrases, etc...
Used a lot in advertisement to convince people to buy some. A for of Pay-Ola, right K ?
All that is a meme.
Not a photo with a caption. Not sure who coined that, apparently has no clue of what a meme is.
Perhaps is a meme to change the meaning of the word meme. A way to change the perception. When you see or hear someone talking about a meme, you automatically think of a joke; nothing to be taking seriously.

Not trying to be a fun spoiler... just pointing that out how dumb social media can be
Trust me K, I enjoy a good joke, more sarcasm the better

Re: The meme thread
Well Speaking english can be dangerous so being a foreigner has its advantages:
The Problem with Speaking English:
CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.
The Problem with Speaking English:
- Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than you.
Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than you.
Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than you.
Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than you.
Germans drink beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than you.

Hahahaha....
Well, English is backwards if you compare it with most languages.
My dad drank a bottle of wine a day, ate all sorts of things, played a lot of Golf, had 20-20 vision, drove few mins before he died, only took 1 medication for cholesterol that was a tad high according to doctors, his mind was crystal clear and died taking a nap, fell a shy month of his 85th birthday.
One thing, he spoke very little English

Re: The meme thread
So it is true! Red wine has documented effect against heart strokes - so that might have done it,
