oh how i wish i could move to another country!
served my country proudly and honorably. and now as a veteran i need their help,
due to medical conditions im between a rock and a hard place. BUT I cannot get vets benefits because Im $2,000 over max income.
i will need to apply next year and present them with every receipt i pay
my pension is ok but not that great!
I wouldn't mind going back to work but who is going to hire a heart patient(too much of an insurance risk)

now in need of a pacemaker/icd (which should have been put in 3 years ago but dr's waffled around and kept me on meds only)
to top it off the surgery will top 100,000.00

If I had lived in the uk the first thing they would have done for arrhythmia/syncope conditions with bradycardia would have been immediate pacemaker implant.

I am a Vet and Retired.

Granted, the VA, you get the Red Carpet treatment if you know someone in the inside. Seen functional people with 100% and no so good, all banged up from the military with less than what they need. I went for a re-evaluation and all they did was nothing. All the drama, wasted time for nothing.

Is with anything the Gov Co touches, bureaucracy, cronyism, partisan bullshit.

The Gov Co agencies are nothing more these days, "Welfare Jobs" for political voters. That is why is called The Swamp, and is full of critters, big and small. I bet, if you get politicaly involved (mostly deamoncrat), support their Money Grabbing Scams NGOs and the rest of their political support bullshit.... you will get prompt service.

although many people would argue about it, that's the one reason I believe in universal term limits (with absolutely no exception)
and you could lay a bet on it that if put to the peoples vote they would love it if the turds in office were forbidden to raise their own wages

Start shutting down agencies and lots of people will be unemployed. One good example is the EPA, was a 5 year long agency, look where is now. Transformed on the Extortion & Protection Agency. They will throw the book at you if you are on their wrong side, if you pay their "fines" they will look the other way.

About 95% of all Gov Agencies do not add value, those are vastly Administration, managing the offices. Economical Termites.

I've said for a fair few years that the US treats their veterans like shit. It is disgusting. One of the many reasons I've "disowned" this country.
I've spoken with many a vet who has said that everything they fought for was bullshit. Propaganda and crap.
