Trump Blocks Broadcom Takeover Of Qualcomm On National Security Grounds

Postby R_Head » 12 Mar 2018, 23:57

In an atempt to block Globalist Merger and Adquisicions. People might wonder why is he is getting his hands on this. He is taking a swing at monopolies. Slowly, manufacturing is getting accumulated by the few, kills competition and the loosing end is the public with subpar products at higher prices. Great move on his part...

President Trump has issued an executive order blocking Singapore-based Broadcom's $117 billion takeover of U.S. chipmaker Qualcomm on national security grounds.

The heated battle for ownership of Qualcomm has ended with a presidential decree barring Broadcom from ever owning the company after CFIUS cited national security concerns with the prospect of such a deal. $QCOM. $AVGO

Additionally, Reuters reports that the Trump order says all 15 candidate directors proposed by Broadcom are disqualified for Qualcomm board.

Looks like Qualcomm is about to be instructed to make hackable solutions...like Intel. It is harder to instruct Singapore based companies.
National security is about hacking our computers these days....for our own good - of course...
Manjaro 64bit on the main box -Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz and nVidia Corporation GT200b [GeForce GTX 275] (rev a1. + Centos on the server - Arch on the laptop.

ZTE, among others, also banned from US trading, under the same excuse.

One piece of info that nobody knows is, when you place a business in China, the Gov has a 51+% controling interest. That means, all the overseas companies that wants to manufacture in China they set it all up, train all the workers and pretty much hand over the keys to the Gov. The return is a huge paycheck for the big wiggs, the workers get shafted with low wages and the other side of the world face unemployment.

Where I work, the Corp HQ sent a product line all the way to Malaysia. By the way, we had to make an improvised "Mosque" for them, believe it or not, they are Muslims. You expect to see some sort of Budist but you will not expect to see a South East Assian called Mohamend. Anyway, the Corp sent the Manufacturing there because of poor quality, so they said. The fact is, cheap manufacturing and their quality is no better than ours. Therefore lowered the cost and increased proffits for stock buybacks. The other part was sent to Vietnam for the same exact reason. At the end, our workers got laid off, the Directors wealthier, the rest of us, a 2% pay raise that means nothing on an inflated economy.
