I have refurnished my entire Internet access and finally I have some decent speeds.

While my old connection was Like a Turtle on pot - i am now working with great speeds:

do you have or .. well, was soll der geiz (what's should it be with the stinginess),
i have in my basement via selfhost.org and you can german,
if you have a dynamic ip adresses ;) pro domain 17 or 22€ or something for a year :)

There was this slight problem that the speed reported above was only available to Ethernet cabeled computers. The Wifi had only 1/10 of the speed.
This is due to the 2.5 Ghz limitation that many routers have.

To overcome this we need a 5 GHz router and even then there might be limitations to top speed like 200 mbit/s ... but still that is way better than 40 so your Wifi laptops will still be a lot faster.

I considered buing an Asus router to bridge to my old Router to get the 5G speed but got lucky when Gizmo puked over the old router; so The ISP sent me a new one with 5G capabilities. :jackpot

Yeah it is not as fast as cable but still 10 times faster than before so Life is good...

To get the speedtest pic above you can type speedtest --share in your terminal

Crap...! as best I get 115 Mbps with my ISP.
