Anyone remember aapgorilla?

Postby dedanna1029 » 09 Nov 2015, 05:31

From the Mandriva forums?

I don't know how many have kept in touch, but I've just found out he's packaging and running his own repo for openSUSE. I saw an openSUSE user complaining:
Nathan England wrote:On the contrary a good system with good repos is my ideal. What I don't like is having to add repos that come from some guy named Bob some where, aapgorilla, BigDaveyL, petraccv, and so on.

Anyone up on the latest about aap? Used to love him to pieces.

No this is the first I have heard of him since.
I noticed that he had trouble getting Kaspersky AV to work on Windows 10 due to Windows defender:

I saw that too in a search for him. Nothing in six years before that. I'm wondering if Mr. England was just pulling people's chains so to speak.

I remember aapgorilla... that brings some memories.

What other name that comes to mind is Adam Williamson (AW). He helped me a lot. I wonder what that guy is doing now.

He helped me a lot too. I imagine he's still got his happy self over at Fedora.

Yeah we have tried before; but that guy is stubborn. Even if we know he reads here regularly +1

Haha. I got rid of both of my twitter accounts earlier in the year because I'd gone two years without using them hardly at all.

It's not my thing. Neither is FB really, but it does keep me up with music.
