No to mention the currency even has an abbreviation like USD does. BTC s it.

Feel free to point me to a place where I can buy the items on my list above with bitcoins. Being able to buy web hosting services and illegal online television with bitcoins is essentially worthless to me.

The point is not that you can't buy anything with bitcoins, but that you can't buy EVERYTHING with bitcoins.

Actually... I did, and I did not find a way to buy the things I need with bitcoins. But thanks for the smartass remarks anyways.

Good write up there :s
However you can now add Real estate to the artificial X-mas tree:

Not in general but there are people willing to sell Real estate for Bitcoins.

Paying bills, you read that?
The list of things you can buy with bitcoins, you read that?
Thre is a lot that one can do with them, more than meets the eye.

I can get groceries from Amazon if I want, for chrissakes. You can get your soldering iron there for that matter, and bullets. The rest I'm more than sure you can get with them. I referred you to a lot of places you can go to buy things, even physical ones.

I think you're afflicted with a non-reality check.

It is a reality that you need luck or good will to spend Bitcoins.
As long as it is not a forced mean of payment - like money - then you may have to struggle to spend it.
