The EMEA server market is stagnating.

The market for servers in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is stagnating.
As of the 3rd Quarter the market has only grown by 0,6 % compared to the previous year.
The turnover for the Quarter was 3,2 Billion US-Dollars for 546.883 sold servers. Especially the market in western Europe has done bad with a negative development of 1,4 % compared to Q3 2010.
More that 98% of the servers are x86-Systems.
There are both Linux and Windows servers in this market and Linux is gaining market shares with a growth of 5.1%. Windows is growing by 3,7%.
Unix is bleeding with a loss of 5,8%

Well, in my book I see UNIX morphing into Linux so they are family (sales wise).
So a gain in Linux is a tally for UNIX

Well, Unix won't go anywhere because it ain't no' mo', even though it still is used. They stopped writing and updating Unix several years ago now, although it still remains in other "forms", such as BSD, Unixware, etc. We were using it at a former job I worked, SEI, when Unix was discontinued (and it's still used there at SEI to a small degree, AFAIK).

Unix/Linux news servers (nothing very mainstream, it seems)
I tried to find other areas where Unix is still actively used in its original form, but there really aren't any worth mentioning, aside from the Open Source "industry".

The old sites with tutorials, etc. for Unix are still alive, because it's still a very well-loved and respected operating system, but they can't really update them. It's been injected, rather, into other operating systems. Remember, GNU's not Unix. It just contains in some areas a good amount of the code.

I think Solaris used to be the big one in the Unix server department.
