The market for servers in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is stagnating.
As of the 3rd Quarter the market has only grown by 0,6 % compared to the previous year.
The turnover for the Quarter was 3,2 Billion US-Dollars for 546.883 sold servers. Especially the market in western Europe has done bad with a negative development of 1,4 % compared to Q3 2010.
More that 98% of the servers are x86-Systems.
There are both Linux and Windows servers in this market and Linux is gaining market shares with a growth of 5.1%. Windows is growing by 3,7%.
Unix is bleeding with a loss of 5,8%
