Even Apple fans think that Apple has become to greedy. In the good old days the Mac had 1TB Fusion Drive and now Apple’s latest-gen Retina iMacs offers 24 G of flash storage.
So the storage is one fifth of what it used to be.
Naturally you can have all that storage back if you pay $200 or $300,-
So to get what you have if you do not upgrade you only have to pay that extra.
Not easy to be an Apple genius these days.
I must admit that my perspective is that of an outsider - I have only helped some friends with their Apple computers.
This sure does not make me want to buy one so I guess I will remain in the dark.

Hold on... 24GB vs. 1000GB?
Wouldn't that be "one forty-first" of what it was previously, rather than one fifth? As in 1/41? As in "they used to offer 41 times this much space"?

Yeah and you only have to pay one $ per M for that I dunno howto compare that Apple storage - but I get the "we want you to pay more" part...

Re: Apple cuts back on flash storage.
With schemes/scams like that I really can't understand why people keep buying Apple junk... not to mention Apple's cooperation with government data collection, or Apple's poor labour record. Okay, I kind of did mention them. :-)

Yes bad record.
But to be fair; I think Apple got tired of the Agencies overeager urge to snoop at everybody - as in "bad for business" - so they started with hard to crack encryption much to the FBI's dismay.

Being extremely cooperative with those agencies = nothing sold outside the US.
