Intel has come up with a Dongle that has a quad core Intel Atom processor and can run Windows 8.1 (32 bit) or Linux (Ubuntu 14.04 - 64 bit).
We have been able to run OS's of a USB dongle for ages but this one does not need a computer in the traditional sense.
All you need is a HDMI connection and this thing will turn your TV or monitor into a computer. Naturally you will need the wireless keyboard and mouse too.
There is a SD card slot, USB slot, and plenty of graphic capabilities integrated wifi and bluetooth.
So the computer in the pocket is back.
The price range is from $100 to $149.
It seems like the cheapest solution has wifi while the expensive ones don't
As a thin client this thing will give Raspberry Pi a run for it's money.
