Keep in mind that there may be a learning curve for yours truly on VNC. I haven't used it but once, I think, and that was what seems like ages ago.

Same here. The only experience I have with it was that it was already set up. Building it up from the ground will be challenge for me as well.

I guess this project went south. I couldn't get formatted up in time, and then the hard drive that Arch was on died. I'm going to try to get my 160-Gb drive going next weekend. When I get it going, you still up for the project?

the best way is to check the hcl of the distro you want to test
they will have a list of hardware that has been tested and works with the distro
