This lightweight and small Linux computer is about to get the CE certification in Europe. The thing is dead cheap too (25$). They have not bothered to box it in some fancy metal - so you can do that yourself. It can be used as a Media center and can handle 1080p and XBMC. This thing is so popular that they cannot handle the demand and had to make their website static! Maybe we should spend some days in front of the store in a sleeping bag - you know; Apple style.

It is a very interesting device and it looks like they are working through the birthing pains. A week or so ago, I was reading through a lot of increasingly unhappy pre-order purchasers at the pi forum, after a manufacturing snafu and inability of resellers to handle demand made the future of pi not so rosy: The Register

As you might imagine, the Raspberry Pi is a specialised hardware platform, similar to that of a smartphone. For this reason, operating systems are provided as images that are flashed to an SD card. There are currently three Linux flavours for the device: Debian, Fedora and Arch Linux.
