[solved] dvd drive has gone out

Postby dedanna1029 » 30 Mar 2010, 14:37

I think my dvd drive may have gone out. It's time; it's over 3 years old. I had to do some re-do in my system when my hard drive went out. It's possible I missed something in the cabling, but I'm normally pretty good with that. It's hard these days for me to get into the computer with my legs the way they are. Last time, I re-screwed up my bad knee. I'm going to give it a go tonight to check cabling. Just in case, anyone got suggestions for a new dvd writer? I can't spend too much on it. I need a good brand, but with a good price. Thanks.

It's okay. My son came down and helped me tear down the computer; it was indeed that I hadn't tightened up the cabling enough when the hard drive failed and I re-did everything. So, I guess that makes this a non-issue.

What do we do with non-issue threads?

Time for sleep. I'm seriously way wiped out. :\
