Breached passwords!

Postby viking60 » 09 Aug 2017, 08:29

There are lots of passwords that have been hacked and therefore never should be used.
Now these are gathered in a database for everyone to search!

So this is a good oportunity to check if your current password is breached - right!..... WRONG!

You should never enter your active passwords on third party sites - including this one!

But you can find breached passwords that you do not plan to use :-D

Here it is:

Try the ultra secret password "secret" and see if it ever has been breached ......It is great fun.

These passwords can be downloaded and integrated in your systems to forbid any password on the list; so the service can be of great value to security management,

Good link :s

Sometimes the constant change of password and not allowed to use previous passwords is becoming a nightmare. The solution is biometrics or access ID cards with chips.

One challenge when changing passwords is remembering them. Also, frustration when you are asked to change it at a moment notice.

If you think about it for a minute. If systems are allowed to surf the web they become vulnerable. At work, I use my phone for web surfing and leave my PC alone. For 2 reasons, malware and to prevent the corp from monitoring what I surf.

Yes the change password terror is a bother but here is a tip:
Write the password down and put it under the Keyboard or even write it on the wall!

If the building is secure then nobody will find it and your online security is peachy.

Yes +1
From the Wikipedia:
On May 31, 2017, OneLogin detected and stopped unauthorized access in their US data region. According to a OneLogin blog post on the breach, "a threat actor used one of our AWS keys to gain access to our AWS platform via an API from an intermediate host with another, smaller service provider in the US

I tried it a long time ago. What's funny, is none of my passwords have ever been breached...

Woah. Something I wish to never occur to me. I mostly use a Password Manager to keep my password secure along with Ivacy VPN to hide IP address online. Feel sorry for the ones who got unlucky.
