Internet: Users don't trust governments and corporate

Postby viking60 » 06 Jun 2016, 18:47

80 % of all Germans consider their data to be insecure on the internet. Before the surveillance scandals back in 2011 the number was 55 %.

When the trust is gone it is hard to rebuild it, On the peek of the surveillance scandal the no. was 86 % , so about 1% get more trustworthy every year.

The users don't trust neither the government nor the corporate world. 75 % of the users have little or no faith in the State and the Government. 67 % do not trust the corporations.
in 2011 46 % did not trust corporate and 40 % did not trust the State/government.

Trust is a rare commodity these days and some old sayings are still true:

You do not demand trust - you earn it!

Smart people these Germans....

Exactly my dear Viking. Put out there what you want public and nothing more. I think, the whole thing is about quasi achieving a celebrity status. People like to mock others. I see an entertainer been public; is the nature of the business. Also, a business, I totally agree that a F-book account will do wonders for advertisement.

Perhaps people have not grasped the idea or the concept on when to hush.
