More devices on the Internet=more risk

Postby viking60 » 15 May 2016, 14:03

Being connected to the internet is a risk and people are getting concerned about it.
The biggest concern is the lack of privacy and the lack of trust based on the experiences so far.

This is bad news for the internet of things.

By far the most frequent concern—shared by 63 percent of online households—was identity theft. Other common concerns included credit card or banking fraud, data collection or tracking by online services, loss of control over personal data, data collection or tracking by government, and threats to personal safety

This affects how we behave on the internet. We sensor ourselves because we know that someone is gathering our data and can use them at any point in time.

There is a lack of trust that is well founded.

In the long run this can affect business on the internet too.
