RSA Live Event

Postby dedanna1029 » 29 Feb 2016, 20:25

RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) will be holding a live event on March 7th here. Mark your calendars. RSA has been what the world has needed for a long time. I try to keep up with them and subscribe to their youtube channel and try to watch their site, but it's not always easy.

This particular live event will be on How non-confirmists change the world, should be interesting. I can't say that any of us here is really much of a conformist other than a set of very few things.

Should be good for all of us. Unfortunately, I have appointments all day that day... :(

Scheduled for Mar 7, 2016

Can any of us be creative, and if so, how we do we nurture our creativity? How can we advance courageous new ideas, policies and practices without risking it all?

New York Times bestselling author and Malcolm Gladwell’s favourite science writer, Professor Adam Grant shows us how to improve the world by championing novel ideas and values that go against the grain, battling conformity, and bucking outdated traditions.

But how do we know if we’re harbouring a great idea? How do we counteract fear and self-doubt? Grant debunks the myth that successful nonconformists are born leaders who embrace risk, and encourages us all to spot opportunities for change and innovation.

I'd rather be a free person who fears terrorists, than be a "safe" person who fears the government.
