Arch 32-bit download?

Postby dedanna1029 » 12 Jul 2019, 21:30

Hiya,

I'm going through server after server here, and am unable to find a 32-bit version of Arch at their download pages. Is there one, or will a 64-bit version detect 32? Thanks.

more and more Distributions kill the 32Bit Architectures in the developers Tree and produce more and more only 64Bit version of the Distributions, what's totally wrong, because a x86 Version can run anywhere on IBM compatible hardware, the x86_64 (with 64Bit enhancement for binarys) works only on x64Bit engine's, and this is really =>bullschit<=, because they walk the same way as the Hardware manufacturer, buy new hardware and kick out the old well working x86"only" hardware.. and this =>is fully bullschit<= !

so, Ubuntu is killing the 32Bit version, openmandriva same, Fedora, i guess also other Distributions also..
They are really sucking blind for the old well working techniks, and this names it self "we are modern" bahh..
they should kicking in the ass.. and i am really angry about the whole situation ..

best regards
Blacky

Reminds me when we transitioned from 16 to 32. I only have 2 old laptos that are 32 bits, the rest are all 64.

Just the pains of evolution.

I wonder who will be the 1st with 128

Viking, my fav Arch buddy, what say you?
I seem to remember back when I had computers running, something about this, but I could be remembering wrong? It's been way too long.
I want to try it on my old HP laptop.
Thanks!

Thank you! Anything for Fedora anywhere? Or do I need to find an old version somewhere, and update from there? With their dropping of 32 bit, among others, Linux is becoming more and more useless to me.

32bit is close to obsolete these days. It lives in my Virtualbox in the shape of Windows XP though.

Why not try

?
It is a fairly stable and user friendly Arch derivative. :tux5:

Fedora has dropped 32bit.
