A couple of things from Unix class today, for those interested in learning vi, midnight commander, or the real mccoy - sed!
And for those who want to learn a little more in scripting, you can use 'here' documents in scripts. Useful, at times.
These also work for Linux (as Unix isn't really "here" any more; just the offshoots like Linux are still around), but you may have to modify a character or two.

Sometimes, I dabble in the regular expressions stuff but not much. That looks like a good reference for sed, which I have seen but not hardly tried to use, so I will bookmark it. Thanks!
