this is not java, it could be any object oriented language except for php which uses those damn dollar signs... GRRRR i hate dollar signs ctrl+alt+4, why oh why would they use such a silly combo on something you write quite often... humbug

Who hates $$? Havent you heard the song "wokin for the yanky doooola" I see if I can find it.....

Who doesn't lie mysql, it's about as quick as it gets and it's easy to use and at the same time hard to use as it has less referential integrity(out of the box) than let's say oracle.

If you use innodb(an engine for mysql) contra myIsam(standard engine for mysql) you will get referential integrity, and then it will be the same as oracle just better but without the customer support safetynet which the companies arount the world wants.

Orcale is an expencive hunk of garbage imho.
