If you have Windows 8 and want to upgrade to Windows 10 then you need to do it now.
If you don't; the upgrade will not be free anymore,
Many have "forgotten" to upgrade and it might have something to do with Microsoft going to the "clouds" .
Clouds are servers outside your house so you will loose control and build up dependencies.
If that does not matter then you need to upgrade fast.
