Torvalds warns the world: Don’t use the Linux 5.12-rc1 kernel

Looks like there's swapfile issues with this kernel.

Since RAM is so cheap and plentiful, there is a need for a Swap File partition? I got rid of mine years ago and never had an issue, my system runs 24/7 for years, except for the very few power outtage shutdowns.

I still run a 4GB-er.

I got 18GB of ECC RAM on my camputer, is capable of 36, depending on price, might push it to the max.

Not long ago, 2 GB was plenty.

I do not have an SSD, I bet is faster than a Disk Drive, but is as fast as a RAM strip; a hair less?

At any rate, the bug has been fixed.
