Fedora 20 is out

Postby viking60 » 20 Dec 2013, 01:58

Fedora 20 - Heisenbug - is out. The most dramatic change is that Fedora 20 does not come with a SMTP mail server anymore.
And Fedoras Gnome 3 comes with an App store.

Fedora 20 comes with the 3.11 kernel (Arch users have been using 3.12 for some time now).
Here are the changes:

If you already have Fedora installed you can update it with Fedup.

As always: Fedora is one of the most important distros out there so it makes sense to pay attention to it.

O rly... A Gnome app store and no SMTP server? Certainly not made for desktops or some laptops, so not much reason to install, I would think? Install it on a cell phone peoples, then pray you can see it...

Actually I did not notice much change from Fedora 19 (App stores are no biggies to me).

I guess there will be a lot of discussion regarding the SMTP stuff since Fedora is the Playground for Centos and Redhat.
