Looks like Canonical has made the deal too...

You have to hand it to the MS guys; they are street smart! With RedHat and Canonical on their cloud platform they have eliminated the risk of anyone making a deal with OEM's
(I did not mention Suse because we all know where they stand).
This will be the death of the minor distros like Mandriva, Mageia, PCLOS, and other distros that aim at new Linux users. Specialist software like Gentoo and Arch or Debian will survive because their users will know how to turn off the secure Win-booting.
And doesn't Microsoft know it....

This is turning into complete total 100% crap. I still have to reformat and reinstall anyway. I think it's time to try dynebolic.

Sounds to me like at they have no intentions of caving in to the almighty Microshit. I just hope it works on netbooks.
Y'know, if all the Linux distro developers, CEOs, etc. got together instead of played competition with each other so hard, they could actually do something really good, that being throw Microsoft out of the lives of those who don't want it. But oh no, we can't have that, can we. We need to worry about just ourselves and cave.
Dyne:bolic is one of the GNU/Linux distributions recommended by the Free Software Foundation: no proprietary software is inside, no closed source firmware.
