Goodbye Parcellite.

Postby viking60 » 22 Sep 2014, 18:30

I have been using parcelite as a clipboard manager for quite some time, but it seems this project is not maintained that well anymore.
The fork Clipit seems to get all the fixes so it may be an alternative.
xfce4-clipman does a great job too - so I am using that now.

Normally I would not loose many calories over this but lately when I chose the Quote bbc code here and wanted to paste my text in there i only got a

Code: Select all

So part of the BBC tag got registered in the clipboard history, which is annoying even if I can pick the wanted text from the parcellite history.

So i simply removed Parcellite - and those problems were gone.

I am sure many people would now tell me that I only have too... ... and I don't care :snooty:

I only want to cut and paste and forget the name of the program that does it - end of story +1

Wow. *Almost* gives new meaning to "out with the old, in with the new."
With a twist though. One can still use another oldie but goodie.

Yeah it has been my pal for many years - but now it failed so I went for something better.
