It's stopping now though. It downloaded for some 20 seconds, then stopped.

Update: Then started again.

As an fyi, I'll have to pause it for a bit while I burn a dvd to usb. Thank you! :)

I will be replacing the one I have with it, as soon as I can. I'm not sure if I have time to get this done today.

It will probably be a fair while after that anyway.

It is ready!

Here is the link:

I General it makes sense to always download from here where links will be updated. It is not certain that I can keep all postings with links updated.

You got Rescatux to fix your Grub, change Passwords on Windows or Linux fix partitions ++ Note this will not work on all distros mostly on Debian based ones.
SystemrescueCD that will do what Rescatux can't on all distros + a lot more.
Clonezilla that can make a running clone of your system so that you can install it on other computers or use it as a backup.
Trinity Rescue Kit that can virus control your system and clone it. I have successfully cloned Arch from one (Identical) computer to another with full network speed. Cloning to 40 computers at the same time can be done (This can be done with Clonezilla Server edition too but that is not on this DVD only the "Live" version).
SuperGrubDisk2 that will let you boot into your system even if Grub is fubared (comes in handy after a clone where Grub might not work out of the box on the new computer).
REDO that will make a bare metal backup of your computer - By the click of a button (Windows/Linux the OS does not matter). It uses the same technology as Clonezilla but cannot clone to smaller partitions so you need as big a disk as your HD (or bigger). It is way easier to use and foolproof.

Some "specialities" like
boot repair disk - that will probably only work on Debian based distros.
Opendiagnostic
Memtest

You can burn it to A DVD (or Dongle) and leave it in on your computer because the first option is to boot from HD.

Why have several programs that cover the same you say?

Glad you asked!

1 Not all programs will work on all systems - just check the next application on the DVD.
2 Some are easier to use and not as complex
3 No Application does exactly the same.
4. Strong-points vary

Yeah but isn't this all for the marginal Linux world you say?

The Rescue DVD is for all OS's and probably more handy for Windows than for Linux. +1
(I am debating adding Hirens BootCD in the future which is well known to Windows people)

Here are the features:
REDO
Clonezilla
Systemrescuecd can do everything but is complex.
Rescatux
Trinity Rescue Kit
Memtes86v4

And all in one place - one DVD to rule them all - it is better than Reverse I tell you +1

All that for $500? $1000? No! It is only $0 - including Nebraska
