Our Lucid Reality strikes! :)

Postby dedanna1029 » 03 Aug 2013, 21:19

Another great Glasgow band, Our Lucid Reality, has released a pay-what-you-want-or-pay-nothing album, "Ghost In The Machine".

It's really good... I mean GOOD. They are great! Pay for it if you can. You won't regret it. It's more than worth anything you pay.

:)

There are so many really good unsigned bands coming out of Scotland over the last year or two. They truly can not be beat, some of them. The festivals too. Wish I hadn't missed them while I was there. June was a great month, from what I hear. If you want a good idea of some really good ones, tune into a good friend of mine's show at Radioactive Scotland, Joan Taylor's Unsigned Acts Show. The site appears to be down at the moment - I'm trying to get some info on that.

I went to Cumbernauld College's web site and clicked up Radioactive Scotland from there. The link has changed, and is no longer .co.uk, but .com ...

http://www.radioactivescotland.com/ - (Edit: Ah, no, it didn't change, it's just that both links worked, and I was familiar with the .co.uk one...)

Joan is here, on the left. She's just graduated. She does some really nice media work - see her youtube channel, which includes a lot of that work (do see Gypsy Violin - I saw those guys while I was there), and her blog, which details just about every step of the way for her.

Hey, I've been following Our Lucid Reality for a while and I just found out that they're in the studio finishing the follow-up to Ghost in the Machine. My mate knows one of the band mates and says he's heard a snippet and he really liked it. If it's anything like the last one I hope they go places, I'll certainly go with :P

i've got them on facebook here it is if you want updated like I do.

It would really be a of great advantage if the band had a regular homepage outside of Facebook. Anti spy is "in" and Big Brother is "out" - Facebook is clearly one of the bad guys in terms of spying and selling your data.
I miss the "band with attitude" effect here - like in the 70'ies. "Data retention" is the new Vietnam - we should have a Woodstock against it....

Aye, I wish the same, but being Indie... I guess they haven't gotten there yet?
