Gary Moore dies (R.I.P.)

Postby dedanna1029 » 07 Feb 2011, 17:23

Our man of Thin Lizzy and solo fame both died yesterday. :(

The renowned rock guitarist Gary Moore has died in a hotel room while on holiday in Spain.

Moore, 58, originally from Belfast, was a former member of the legendary Irish group Thin Lizzy.

Thin Lizzy manager Adam Parsons told the BBC he was found early on Sunday.

It is said that he was healthy, not a stoner or drug addict, and kept himself fit. I don't know about any of that. All I know is he was one helluva musician. In particular, I quite liked his work with Greg Lake (not to mention Phil Lynott).

Crank it up! With Phil Lynott:

With Greg Lake:

And, of course, solo:

With Thin Lizzy, the one song he appeared on, on this album, off their "Night Life", their first album:

With Thin Lizzy, off "Black Rose: A Rock Legend":

May he R.I.P. ...

Some great music there!
And he was far to young to leave. Does anyone know if there were "refreshments" involved. (He was a great music star- and many of them have left that way).

Nope as I said, he was healthy and fit. I'm sure they'll be releasing cause of death if they haven't.
