Re: What are you listening to right now?

haha, thanks for the ABBA!!! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1286780/gifs/cheering.gif Truthfully, I like rock with loud, masterful lead guitar. Not long ago, the survivors of the '70s rock band, Mountain ("Mississippi Queen"), including Leslie West at lead guitar, a bass player and drummer played...

Re: For Web’s New Wave, Sharing Details Is the Point

I have a dark view, which is really a clear view of what is dark, imo, but what is generally marginalized as my 'dark view', making it something unique to me, enabling denial of reality for those who are not so fond of confronting the truth. Oh my, how arrogant that sounds, but it is what I see. Com...

Re: Steam for Linux?

At one point, I was impressed by, to me, a unique and interesting social phenomenon centered on World of Warcraft, I think it is. The gist is one of the online gamers died in real life and the other members of that 'side' of the ongoing fanciful war, truly touched, arranged a funeral. Ironically, th...

Re: Using Windows and want to try Linux?

I just want to say, "Nice post!" :s A few alternate points, ⋅ I, for one, only used W98 for a couple of months before I switched to Mandrake a little over 10 years ago. I've always had a Windows installation in dual boot, XP Pro, currently, but only visit it occasionally. ⋅&...

Re: Suggestion

I like the idea, if webmaster can nicely implement it. There is a mozilla forum where info about the mozilla build is automatically detected and added to the posts. This is quite helpful in troubleshooting analysis and I see how it can be an interesting factoid that adds to post value. See, for exam...

Re: Moblin -help I don't get it

I thought Moblin was for netbooks. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1286780/gifs/conf47.gif Not much help, I'm afraid. I do have 'Express Gate' in my Asus P5Q Deluxe motherboard BIOS, which sounds similar to what you describe: it boots in seconds, has a browser, but, faced with going through a whole set of p...

Re: Cooker on my 32bit fubared on update

I fixed it with my free usb-pen. Booted from it and chose rescue system. There you can reinstall grub. I like Arch so much that I am looking for an excuse I guess. Yep 2010 x86_64 is fine, it is staying on my main box. Good job! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1286780/gifs/banana.gif (I saw your 'main box'...
