Hacker busts IE8 on Windows 7 in 2 minutes

Computerworld - Two researchers yesterday won $10,000 each at the Pwn2Own hacking contest by bypassing important security measures of Windows 7. Both Peter Vreugdenhil of the Netherlands and a German researcher who only would give his first name of Nils, found ways to disable DEP (data execution pre...

Re: Apple suing HTC over 20 pattents

Apple is a Boutique for computers. As long they keep their prices high, people will buy them. Is like a Toyota and Lexus, still the same car, Lexus is a plush version of an entry level Toyota for rich people.

Apple is juts a plush version or a regular PC.

Re: Apple suing HTC over 20 pattents

Apple must be getting nervous about Google Androide. The models that are attacked by Apple are all "Androids" none of the Windows Mobile from the very same producer are attacked. Why? Apple vs HTC,http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/02/apple-vs-htc-a-patent-breakdown/ I am glad I am an Europe...

Re: Hobbies you have (not computer ones)?

No big on Italian wines, seems not to taste right for me. I like more the stronger Spanish Rioja Tinto. I tried some from California and sure it sucks badly  If you want a nasty wine hangover, get those ;)

Have a Wok, Grill and other kitchen stuff. I can say that I have a very diverse taste. One of my favorite wines is Port,...

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I heard a crack pot idea that seems to work. Cheap and easy. Is to place a bar of Bathing/Shower Soap, any brand, under the covers by your feet while you sleep. It takes care of restless legs syndrome among other things. At least 2 people that I personally know reported that works. What you have to ...

Re: Fluendo goes Windows

The best part will be, since they are Open Source is cheaper or free. That will under bid other proprietary software. People want more for their money and that is not a no brainier. One big thing that MS has and Open Source not is the Support Trust that comes from a paid service. Simply put, if I pa...

Re: Fluendo goes Windows

I do not think is a bad idea. People does not use MS because they want MS, they want some else that runs on MS and MS is the only choice at the Computer store. Therefore you are stuck with MS. If Fluendo is ported also to MS, is like Open Office, Firefox, Thunderbird, Pidgin, Gimp and many others is...
