Re: New content

IMHO 2 things that I hate to discuss are Politics and Religion. Occasionally I might try a Political or Religion joke. The one thing that both have in common is they are based on Believes and that is hard to prove or disapprove. Just let me throw some out there as an example, not for discussion. I b...

Re: Internet Explorer market share at an all time low.

As much as you hate MS and you use Windows by any reasons, there is no way to eradicate IE. Perhaps IE can be called OS Fibrosis... Is so embedded on the OS, the only way to remove that is to kill the patience. It comes to my mind.... Windows is like a very old sic individual Is and archaic, decrepi...

Obama is not a Technician, I bet money that he does not even know what Linux is... he is just a teleprompter puppet.

The Puppeteer is perhaps the Linux believer.

Could not resist a political joke/comment... sorry K

Re: Will The Linux Desktop Soon Be Irrelevant?

When I was taking the Cisco CCNA certification, the term used for the Internet is the Cloud. Anyway, is false to call it Internet, is not an Internal Net, the name came from the US Dept Of Defense for their Internal Network. What we know for Internet is in reality an Extranet (External Net), so sinc...

Re: iPad is icoming in April

I will love to see a device like the iPad for Open Source, but just as a Smart Terminal for a lets say, a MS/Linux Desktop Server. The Same way Citrix does.
All you have to do is, support one computer and let multiple users access it within your network.

Now, how cool is that!

Re: Seamonkey

I used Mozilla for the longest time. When Sea Monkey came out, a lot of sites blindly said that can not support the browser. I got tired of the constant battle, so I went to Firefox (anyway, is just Mozilla without the other stuff). I still have the last of the Mozilla version loaded on my Ol' W2K s...

Re: Mandriva

I have seen people complaining about TV Tuners and Webcams with Mics. TV Time seems to see the Webcam 1st and you can not change the source of video. Another is one that I am experiencing. the USB TV Tuner works but no audio comes out, but you can see on Pulse the bars moving along with the motions ...

Re: Novell has saved Linux!

I think Novell did a pact with he devil like, making friends but I know what you are up to. Kind of keeping the enemy closer. I like the trial did not went in favor of SCO. They could sent the whole GPL to the ground.

I believe in charging for the service but not for the code.

Re: Will The Linux Desktop Soon Be Irrelevant?

Cloud computing is awesome depending on your requirements. I would not use it for sensitive information but we use it at this very moment. Lets see... E-Mail, Facebook, Tweeter, Hulu, Netflix, Troubleshooting (most anything), Banking, Shopping, Google Docs? Gee I guess all we need is a browser! :lol...

Re: What Comes Around Goes Around...

As far cars... The darkest days in the Auto Industry were in the 70s and 80s. Cars, on any model and make they were junk. US build cars had the bigger punch, could not change rapidly to new technologies because it cost more to change and competing with Japanese cars that were way cheaper. Anyway, is...
