Thank you, btw, for being more serious this time. I'm guessing no one else here but we two actually reads.

Re: What are you reading right now?

Appointment In Samarra by John O'Hara, a quick read but at the same time... wow. Lesson learned.

Having just seen what I could of the series on Netflix, I'm also reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander. I was surprised. I actually liked it on Netflix.

Re: Win 8 and 10 are more insecure than Win 7

My mom is on 7 now, and won't be upgrading it for a fair while. I'm glad. In her lifetime, she may not see the crap Windows versions.

What are you reading right now?

I thought I had started a reading thread way back when we started this forum, but am not finding it in a search. I hope you people like to read, and can make this thread come alive. I read books, articles, here and there newspapers (I'm not awfully supportive of online papers. Give me good ol' real ...

Re: Really want to learn some Linux? New Arch.iso is out

I never could get Manjaro to install , plus I just really have always loved Arch. I don't bother with Gnome or KDE, unless there are files from it for XFCE. Gnome & KDE remind me of two-party system we have here in the states. Most don't realise that honestly, both parties suck, and there are m...

Re: Possible handover of Assange to UK may be imminent

Actually, the rape charge went away some time back. They just want him now because he ran away and failed to show on it. He is also charged with conspiracy and hacking charges in the US, in collusion with Chelsea Manning, another trooper for justice. This conspiracy theory that he's joined up with t...

Proof that he's a CIA asset? Please send a credible link, not just opinion. Thanks. Re: the book, there is no need to wonder why he had it. It is THE very subject matter of why he releases files, etc., to expose. He is fighting this very thing, just as Vidal did. "History of The National Securi...

Re: Really want to learn some Linux? New Arch.iso is out

I didn't stick around with Mandriva until 2012. When things started falling apart for them, I went here to this forum, then went back to Arch and Fedora.
