Re: Mageia forum down
The Mageia forum is now back online:
https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=11715
There is a further update of the phpBB software (currently being tested) to be done in the next few weeks, but that should not require any significant downtime.

Re: Wireless issue (AGAIN), Mageia 5
Sorry, I have no experience of wireless. I believe that some people have had success using Network Manager instead of the Mageia tools, but that's the extent of what I know.

Re: Updated Mageia today
Mageia prefers not to update kernel versions in stable releases, but 4.1 is nearing EOL. The next LTS version is 4.4 (I think) and an update to 4.4.13 is now in QA. Of course I may be totally wrong about all this.

Re: Mageia server is getting better
The "pulse" packages that you see are related to pulseaudio and not to the Pulse software that is the subject of the agreement between Mageia and Siveo. Pulse has not yet been packaged for Mageia and will not appear in the repositories (other than perhaps as backports) until Mageia 6.

I assume that it will be in the repo's before mga6 is released next year.

Re: Mageia server is getting better
So far as I know, there are no plans at present to use Pulse on Mageia's infrastructure. Pulse packages would be included in Mageia's repositories like any other free software, for the use of those Mageia users who want to install them.
