How to highlight columns in terminal

Postby dedanna1029 » 19 Jul 2010, 23:56

At one time waaaaaaayyy back when at the Mandriva forum, you showed me a way wherein I could just highlight a column of things in terminal, thereby being able to copy/paste them back in. It was a combination key/mouse drag.

Please remember what it was for me. I sure can use it right now. Thanks.

Remember to deactivate compiz first! Or else this will only spin your cube (or sylinder). In Metacity it works perfectly! I just copied a column from top to OO-writer.
Nice tip :s (And typically what you would expect to find if you do a search for "ROLF" on this board  )

I don't have compiz set up yet so it's not a problem for now.
