gtkpacman

Very very nice stuff. Got down to a lot of things I've been wanting to install to Arch. Nice interface, and it just works. Very simple, very easy, very intuitive, and plus the logo's cute. Mandriva should have it so good, with that outdated bogging-everything-down software installer in MCC. This I don't have to pull up anything but itself for:

I can watch it work, both graphically, and via terminal, either which way I want to go.

FYI, there is also a gui update checker, called Pacupdate, in the repos. To have it kick in at startup, it's just like any other program in Gnome. Add it to Startup Applications.

Thanks for the heads up on it, boss.

OTT, also, one doesn't have to go to all the headache in the Arch Wiki to install cursor themes. Once Community's installed, they're there. If the ones you want aren't, just grab a few from gnome-look.org, and drag 'em into Appearance, still packed; they install and operate as any other pointer (or desktop) theme would for Gnome. Thanks to that, I have a nice transparent green cursor (with a shadow, great outline border, and "animation" of sorts no less) to go with my green desktop. :A

Other than the Amarok1 issue, this is really shaping up.

Good job! :s
I will have to test that Gnome stuff when I get back.
Also: Pacupdate is actually not updating at the moment. It is a bug - It will tell you there aren't any updates even if there are.

Just leave it there until the fix is ready and update with the upgrade button on gtkpacman, or via CLI, until it is.
And yes I kind of like that terminal function - it gives a perfect overview. And I love the logo too :)

Yeah I noticed it's been doing that. No biggie. I check enough anyway to do fine. :)
